Enjoy the Ride

"So don’t you think it’s time for you to lighten up and start having more fun with all of this..." ~ Abraham-Hicks

Little Gems of Wisdom & Fun from Mary Lynn Ziemer

Your world becomes whatever your feelings and corresponding thoughts have made it into. So, why not create your world full of adventure, beauty, and fun! Choose the fun way to achieving your intention, your goal, and your dream by allowing your lighted-hearted side to guide you on the ride. Ask yourself, "How can I have fun in this moment with the task at hand? Then go and do it, and truly have fun! Create your life, knowing there is no limit to the fun you can experience along the way!

Why do we strive for fun in our life? Why do we wait in pleasure, looking forward to the moments of fun to come?

Having true fun brings out the child in us! It is in our nature, as a creative being, to want to experience our lives joyfully. "Fun" brings you into the present moment, allowing you to enjoy whatever experience is in front of you right now, just like a child would. "Fun" is the sheer delight that you feel as you create with your imagination and choose thoughts, words, and actions of joy. It is the moment that makes you feel good and ultimately brings you to peace and calm. The most intense moments of fun are full of laughter and smiles. At the end of it all, you know that it doesn’t get much better than the feeling of gratitude and joy that comes along with it.

This is your true nature: childlike love, imagination, and adventure. It is at your core.

We’ve all asked ourselves what we can do to feel this youthful happiness and have more joy. Where are you on the scale of having fun? Are you having more fun and enjoying the ride consistently? Or, are you feeling very serious about your life and your everyday experiences? Wherever you are on this precipice between seriousness and fun is very important to you. Why? Because when you feel good, you create what you desire. Fun feels good. So, when you are having fun, your life becomes much easier, and you live in the flow. When you feel lighter, you know you are on your way. Lighthearted and loving thoughts, words and actions are always at the core of fun!

When you are serious it means you are looking at a situation from a perspective that carries a certain feeling of heaviness or weight with it. You may even justify the need for these situations for yourself. They can even feel a bit like a candy high, as one of my clients likes to say. Eventually, though, the adrenaline rush you get from the force or resistance of the situation wanes. Then, you’re back to feeling other than the way you would truly like to feel.

So instead, try to find a lighter way to do that very important thing you are so focused on? Why not have some fun with it. Put in your mind the very best, most loving outcome you can imagine. Don’t put any limits on your imagination based on the current reality. Instead, know your power and expect what you want to happen. Ask yourself, “What do I want the outcome to be?” Stay in a feel good place with your thoughts, and take action with words of positivity and love. You are always sure to get a better outcome in the end and you will feel good along the way.

There’s a famous Abraham-Hicks quote that says:

“If there is something that you have to do, resist the temptation to do it under duress. Ask yourself, “What’s the worst thing that would happen if I didn’t do this?” And if you can get away with not doing it at all, don’t do it. And then imagine what would it feel like to have this done. Spend a day or two, if you can, just 15 minutes here, 5 minutes here, 2 minutes here, here, and here, imagining it completed in a way that pleases you! And then, the next time you decide that you’re going to take action about it, the action is going to be a whole lot easier.”

The whole point is to have fun with everything you do, all day long. From the moment you rise to the moment your head hits the pillow. This means during the most important and sometimes “serious’ parts of your day you are asking yourself “how much fun am I having with this task?” Then check in on how you feel. If you feel good, you’re on the path to creating the results you want in an easier and fun way. If you’re feeling something different, it’s time to shift your perspective and take new action. There are many things we can do to have more fun. And, yes, I am talking about everything. We all need to reframe and shift into the realm of fun. We need to jump right into it!

Remember, have fun with everything you do. Make a conscious choice to use your life as a catalyst for fun. See yourself doing what, before, only seemed like the impossible. Turn every serious moment into one of fun! Start with this mantra every morning when you wake up to help you get focused on your way.

"I am so grateful that today is the most hilarious and fun day ever!”

Just try it, you’ll like it!

Have an absolutely magical day full of love, gratitude, and fun fun fun!!
